For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time for love, and a time to hate;
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes c3, 1 to 8

I like this scripture about the seasons and times, because I think it covers every aspect of our lives and also the world we live in. It always reminds me that no matter what man does or thinks, he knows about everything. God is still in control of this wonderful world He created.

One of my other favourite bible verses is from Psalm 46 v10 and is “Be still and know that I Am God”

These words always make me feel Gods calming spirit, and lets me stop and acknowledge my Heavenly Father, the creator of all. It’s good to slow down sometimes, and as they say “Stop and smell the roses”, because if we don’t be “still and know our God”, we miss out on so much. I thank God for all His blessings to me and to all my family.

This particular little verse helps me many, many times –

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
